Carpenter Science Theatre Company

The Carpenter Science Theatre Company is proud to announce its 12th season of exciting, and educational science theater. CSTC is known for its high quality theater productions and storytelling performances that dramatize the impact of science on humanity and illustrate the importance of science in our lives. Professional playwrights, actors, directors, designers and technicians work with museum educators to present live theater and storytelling to intrigue, inspire and compel audiences to appreciate and learn more about science.

In the spirit of our incredible world of natural wonders, join us for some exciting 8- to10-minute dramatic performances of tales with a focus on nature. Our professional actors don't just tell the story – they actually become different characters and reveal the story through live action!

"Amazing Tales" are appropriate for all ages and are free with museum admission.

"Learning to read and write is like riding the wind. It can take you anywhere." These words still inspire us!Best known as the first female bank president, this African-American entrepreneur also founded a newspaper, opened an emporium and worked tirelessly to improve educational opportunities for women and children. This fascinating visit with Maggie Walker is ideal for all ages.

Tickets: This MainStage performance is $9 per ticket; $8 for members and groups of more than 10 people with advance reservations.
