What is an IMAX® film? It’s like a regular movie, only bigger! Ten times the size of a traditional 35 mm film, IMAX® films are projected over two-thirds of the dome’s screen for the ultimate “You Are There” experience. Supplemental materials are often available for IMAX® DOME films. Please ask when you call. Most films run about 45 minutes.

Take an educational journey to some of the most geographically dynamic locations on Earth.
Computer animation, coupled with aerial and remote location cinematography, take you to seven distinct geographic place types. Travel from the incredible island of Madagascar, home of the unique limestone pinnacles and the playful lemur, to the Namib Desert, site of the largest sand dunes in the world. The film also features the great icecap of Greenland, Iguaçu Falls in Brazil, the Okavango Delta in Botswana, the Chang Tang Plateau in Tibet and the Amazon River in South America. Lean about the landforms, diverse wildlife and the people and cultures indigenous to these places.

The Alps

Filled with majestic views of Switzerland's natural beauty, The Alps follows the true-life story of mountaineer and journalist John Harlin III, who sets out on an epic personal journey to climb the deadly North Face of the Eiger — the stormiest, steepest peak in all of Europe — 40 years after the same mountain claimed the life of his father, climbing legend John Harlin II, who fell 4,000 feet to his death when his rope snapped near the Eiger's summit.
