Third through fifth grade girls are invited to explore career paths in medicine at this special Camp-In featuring tons of activities, including hands-on workshops, a featured show in the Dome, Museum exhibits exploration and more! Girls will learn about medical imaging as they intern as a radiologist and ultrasound technician, participate in a simulated public health emergency to learn about infectious diseases, identify blood types in artificial blood, practice taking a patient’s vitals, and uncover healthy eating tips and snack ideas.
Pre-registration is required; $10 per child and $10 per adult. One adult chaperone required for every four girls. Girls in Medicine is recommended for girls in third through fifth grades and is sponsored by Bon Secours.
When: Friday, October 12 at 6 pm to Saturday, October 13 at 9 am
