Middle school girls, join us Saturday, November 14, for an adventure that is sure to be a tapestry of fun! Girls in Science, sponsored by DuPont, will help you dig into material science as you discover the STEM of textiles!
Girls will learn how circuits work and understand the importance of textile innovation. From the materials for creating Personal Protective Equipment, to cotton underwear, textiles form the very fabric of our lives.
While we can’t host our typical camp-in, that’s not going to stop us from having fun and learning together!
To keep the fun going at home, girls will be given a take-home activity to learn all about the Artemis Program and how materials science plays a crucial role. They will then complete a project to engineer and design space wear that could protect future astronauts!
