Artificial Intelligence is having an ever-greater impact on all aspects of our lives, whether we’re aware of it or not. From predictive text on our smartphones to services we interact with every day like Amazon, Apple and Netflix, we encounter some form of AI that has been designed to improve services or manage complex supply chains.
However, artificial intelligence is doing much more than just helping companies make better decisions; it's also helping us to make incredible medical and scientific advancements. It may even surprise you to know that AI is already being used to influence some sentencing decisions in the criminal justice system and to understand extreme weather.
There is no doubt that these advancements will fundamentally change our society forever, but what are the implications of this technology across science disciplines, are they for good or bad?
Our panel of science, history and psychology experts from Virginia Tech, Longwood University, the National Center for Atmospheric Research, and the Science Museum of Virginia and more will discuss some of the latest AI advancements and weigh in on what the future might hold. Don’t miss out, join us for some Q & AI.
