Join us for this special edition Science After Dark as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first manned landing on the moon. Celebrate the anniversary of mankind’s “giant leap” as you explore three floors of exhibits and get creative with space related hands-on activities.
Then head to The Dome for special all-live Cosmic Expeditions at 6:30 and 7:15 pm; space is limited to the first 250 guests at each show, no ticket required. Experience the “space race” to the moon with a free showing of one hour of the PBS documentary, Chasing the Moon, at 8 pm; space is limited to the first 250 guests, no ticket required. And younger audiences will enjoy free showings of the PBS series, Ready Jet Go! After the shows, step outside to stargaze through telescopes with the Richmond Astronomical Society, weather permitting.

Science After Dark admission is $10 for the general public and free for Museum members and college students with a valid ID. Admission includes exhibits and event programming. Guests can add the feature film in the Dome for $5; members may use a Dome pass if they wish. Add Pompeii: The Immortal City for an additional $10.
